Terms of Service

Effective Date: February 26, 2026

Welcome to JurisAI. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not use the platform.

1. About JurisAI

JurisAI is an AI-powered legal research tool designed for Philippine lawyers, law firms, and law students. The platform provides access to Supreme Court jurisprudence, AI-generated case analysis, pleading review, doctrine tracking, and related research features.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use JurisAI
  • You must provide accurate and complete registration information
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

3. Not Legal Advice

JurisAI is a research tool, not a law firm or a substitute for professional legal counsel.

  • All AI-generated analyses, summaries, and recommendations are for informational and research purposes only
  • JurisAI does not provide legal advice, represent clients, or create an attorney-client relationship
  • You are solely responsible for independently verifying all AI outputs, citations, and legal conclusions before relying on them in any legal proceeding
  • While we verify citations against the SC E-Library, AI analysis may contain errors or omissions

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or to facilitate illegal activities
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or access the platform's source code
  • Scrape, crawl, or automated-harvest data from JurisAI
  • Share your account credentials with third parties
  • Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any access restrictions, rate limits, or subscription gates
  • Resell, sublicense, redistribute, or provide access to JurisAI to third parties, whether for profit or otherwise
  • Use JurisAI to build or power a competing product or service
  • Misrepresent AI-generated content as your own original legal analysis in contexts where disclosure is required

5. Account Licensing

Accounts are for internal use only. Reselling or sublicensing access is prohibited.

  • Each subscription is licensed solely for use by the subscribing individual or firm's internal team members, up to the seat limit specified by their plan
  • You may not share, resell, sublicense, lease, or otherwise transfer your account or API access to any external party
  • Firm plan accounts are restricted to the firm's bona fide employees and partners — access may not be extended to clients, external counsel, or other third parties
  • Violations of this clause may result in immediate account termination without refund, and we reserve the right to pursue legal remedies

6. Intellectual Property

  • Platform: JurisAI's platform, design, code, and AI models are our proprietary property protected by intellectual property laws
  • SC Jurisprudence: Supreme Court decisions are public domain. JurisAI's added value — AI summaries, holdings, legal principles extraction, and keyword indexing — is our proprietary work
  • Your Content: You retain ownership of any documents or pleadings you upload. By uploading, you grant us a limited, temporary license to process the content for the purpose of delivering the requested analysis
  • Research Outputs: AI-generated analyses produced for your account are licensed for your personal and professional use

7. Subscription and Payments

  • JurisAI offers Free and paid subscription plans
  • Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as indicated at the time of purchase
  • Features and usage limits vary by plan
  • We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' advance notice
  • Refund requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis

8. Service Availability

  • We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access
  • Scheduled maintenance, system updates, or unforeseen technical issues may cause temporary downtime
  • We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by service interruptions

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Philippine law:

  • JurisAI is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind
  • We do not warrant that AI outputs are error-free, complete, or suitable for any particular legal matter
  • We shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in subscription fees during the preceding 12 months

10. Account Termination

  • You may close your account at any time by contacting us
  • We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, with or without notice
  • Upon termination, your access to saved research and library data will be revoked
  • Data deletion will follow our Privacy Policy retention guidelines

11. Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines
  • Any dispute arising from the use of JurisAI shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation
  • If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Philippines

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the platform. Your continued use of JurisAI after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
